My Relationship With Acne

I use to think that acne was just something I needed to cure. But that would be too easy! Find a treatment and just move on. I don't think so! I've learned that I actually have a relationship with acne. Acne is the unwanted visitor in my life. He comes over unannounced, he stays longer than expected, and when asked to go home, he just ignores me. So now I have to change my approach.

What Do I Do About My "Friend" Acne

That's the first thing. Instead of viewing acne with total hate, I had to learn about him. Understand why he is the way he is. So now I view acne as a friend. Now not your regular friend, but the kind of friend that means well but kind of complicates your life. I know this sound weird but here's what I mean. I always seem to have really bad breakouts when I'm nervous about something. I'm meeting new people or I have something special to go to and just like a friend acne comes running to be there for me. Oh acne, not now.

Don't Hurt Acnes Feelings, He's Just Trying To Help

So now that I know that loyal friend acne is just trying to help, how do I handle the situation? Well I know not to try and yank acne out of my life, (that'll hurt - me especially), I have to try and work with him. I know he comes when he thinks I'm nervous or excited, so if I don't want a visit, I try to include the right kind of vitamins in my life to help my nerves. Vitamin B's mostly. Then I know he's jealous if I have too close of a friendship with my man Cola and my girl Candy so I try to limit my association with them or else he'll try to come around. He seems to feel that our mutual friend Water has my best interest at heart so when I'm hanging out with Water he doesn't feel the need to check in. I also noticed that Acne would visit me unannounced. I learned that Acne did that because he didn't hear from me for a while, so now to prevent the unexpected visit, I check in with Acne. I do that by spending some time doing preventive treatment. (You know cleansers, good diet, etc) But if I forget to check in, and I'm hanging out with the wrong friends, and Acne comes for a visit, I try to remember the bigger picture. Don't just kick him to the curb; if I try to get rid of him too quick, he'll scar me. We all know about that, don't we? So I have be gentle. And remember that he'll leave. And he'll leave when he feels I'm okay. Taking my vitamins, staying away from Cola and Candy, and spending lots of time with Water.

What Personality Does Your Acne Have?

There are so many types of acne so you have to really learn how to deal with your friends' personality accordingly. Does your acne scar? Does your acne love babies? Does your acne love adults? Does your acne respond to good diet? Does your acne respond to only expensive treatments? (Sorry if your Acne has expensive taste) Does your acne like mild home remedies? Does your acne love your face? Does your acne love your back? Does your acne hate make up? Does your acne love to be the center of attention right on the middle of your nose? Whatever the case, we all want successful relationships so look for the best acne treatment available. I like home remedies for acne myself. I have good results trying over the counter products but I'll try almost anything. But don't scrub Please!

After the break out Aloe Vera is good to cope. But some vitamins help me balance my system. Vitamin A's B's and E's
